Screen Details
Target Cursor
This cursor appears when you approach a character in the Lobby.
Press the button while the target cursor is displayed to talk.
Avatar Name
Avatar names are displayed above the character’s head. The names of online players are white, while NPC characters are green.
*Characters who have disconnected frequently during online battles have their avatar name displayed in red.
Player
This is the avatar controlled by you.
Talk
Approach a character designated by the target cursor and press the button to talk to them. Press the
button to progress through the conversation.
Talk to characters behind counters to access those facilities.
Mini-Map
Press the button to show or hide the mini-map.
The mini-map is useful when you don’t know where to go next. It shows the locations of important facilities or people.
The blue arrow is your character.
Refer to the World Map section for details on the target cursor and other icons.
World Map
Hold down the button to show the world map.
Player: Shows the coordinates of your current location.
Online Battle Counter: Allows you to participate in online battles.
Offline Battle Counter: Allows you to participate in offline battles.
Mission Counter: Allows you to take on missions.
Shop Counter: Allows you to purchase Items, Ability Skills, Abilities and Outfits.
Event Counter: Speak to the character to know the information of the Operation winners of the past season.

Fast-Travel
Select a facility and press the Confirm button to warp to that facility.
Select the facility you want to travel to in the facilities list on the world map and press the button.
Menu
Press the OPTIONS button to open the menu.
In the menu you can set Ability and Skills, customize avatars, view items, and configure settings for communication with other players.
Press the button in the menu screen to open the system menu.
Here you can configure various game-related settings or quit the game.
Lobby Facilities
Speak to the character behind the counter in each facility to use that facility’s services.
Battle Counter
Here you can participate in battles, train, and register teams. At the online battle counter you can participate in online matches. At the offline battle counter you can participate in computer matches and offline matches.
Use the directional buttons or the left stick to select the menu item and the button to confirm.
P1 vs P2 (Offline Battle)
Connect two controllers to the PlayStation®4 console to have a two-player battle. First, select the match rules (whether to use character levels, the number of rounds, and the time limit).
Use Character Level: Toggle to enable/disable the effects of character level, skill level, and support skills.
Rounds: Select between 1, 3, or 5 rounds.
Time Limit: Select either unlimited time or 99 seconds.
Each player selects three team members, starting with player 1.
You can also press the OPTIONS button to load a preset team.
After selecting characters you’ll need to select a stage.
The battle begins once you’ve selected the stage.
Ranked Match (Online Battle)
In this mode you’ll fight against another player online to compete for rank. First, select the match rules (rank setting and network status).
Rank Setting: This setting determines the rank of your opponent.
Select either Similar Rank or Higher Rank.
Network Status: Choose the opponent’s network conditions. Select either Good or No Preference.
Next, select your three team members.
You can also press the OPTIONS button to load a preset team.
After selecting characters you’ll need to select a stage.
Matchmaking begins once you’ve selected a stage.
Press the button to enter a Practice Battle or press the
button to cancel matchmaking.
The battle begins after matchmaking.
Friendly Match (Online Battle)
In this mode you’ll fight against another player online.
First, select the match rules (whether to use character level, ranked settings, network status, language, the number of rounds, and friend invite).
Use Character Level: Toggle to enable/disable the effects of character level, skill level, and support skills.
Rank Setting: This setting determines the rank of your opponent. Select between No Preference, Similar Rank, or Top Rank.
Network Status: Choose the opponent’s network conditions. Select either Good or No Preference.
Language: Set the language preference for your opponent. Select either Same or No Preference.
Rounds: Select between No Preference, 3, or 5.
Friend Invite: Set whether or not to invite your friends. Select either Yes or No.
Next, select your three team members.
You can also press the OPTIONS button to load a preset team.
After selecting characters you’ll need to select a stage. Matchmaking begins once you’ve selected a stage. Press the button to enter a Practice Battle or press the
button to cancel matchmaking.
The battle begins after matchmaking.
Quickmatch (Online Battle)
In this mode you’ll fight against another player online using a fixed ruleset.
Select your three team members.
You can also press the OPTIONS button to load a preset team.
After selecting characters you’ll need to select a stage.
Matchmaking begins once you’ve selected a stage. Press the button to enter a Practice Battle or press the
button to cancel matchmaking.
P1 vs CPU (CPU vs CPU)
In this mode you can choose any character and stage for the battle. First, select the match rules (whether to use character level, the number of rounds, the time limit, and the CPU strength).
Use Character Level: Toggle to enable/disable the effects of character level, skill level, and support skills.
Rounds: Select between 1, 3, or 5 rounds.
Time Limit: Select either unlimited time or 99 seconds.
CPU Strength: Set the strength of the CPU-controlled character.
Select three team members each for your own team and the enemy team.
You can also press the OPTIONS button to load a preset team.
After selecting characters you’ll need to select a stage.
The match begins once you’ve selected the stage.
During the match, press the OPTIONS button to open the pause menu.
The results screen is displayed after the match.
Training
You can fight a training match against CPU opponents. Press the OPTIONS button to open the pause menu and select [Training Settings] to change the CPU settings. Press the button + OPTIONS button to reset positions. To end training, press the OPTIONS button to open the pause menu and then select [End Match] to quit.
Register Team
Choose a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd character to register as your preset team.
Registered teams can be summoned during battle character selection.
Mission Counter
There are four different Mission Counters: a common area and one for each different team.
Each counter offers a variety of missions to complete.
Select Category
Select a mission category.
Free Missions: You can improve your character by winning matches.
Extra Missions: Various effects are granted upon completing these missions.
Key Missions: These are critical missions.
Tutorial Missions: You can play battle tutorials.
Select Mission
Select a mission. Select a mission and the details will be shown on the right side of the screen.
Press the /
buttons to change the mission type, then press the
button to switch between the mission details.
Press the button to confirm and embark on the mission.
End Mission
The mission results are displayed after the mission ends. Rewards are given at this time.
The Mobility Gauge is used for chasing and escaping.
When the gauge is depleted, you will no longer be able to chase or escape for a set period of time.
Shop
You can spend Gold to purchase items, Ability Skills, Ability, and Costumes at the Shop Counter.
Press the /
buttons to switch between categories. Once you select an item, details will appear on the right side of the screen.
Press the button to purchase the item.
Rewards Counter
Here you can accept rewards earned
from the Login Bonus.
*The Rewards Counter is not available in offline mode.
The list of login bonuses is shown on the left, with details on the right.
Use the or
buttons to switch between lists.
Press the button to accept the selected login bonus.
Press the button to accept all available login bonuses.
Upgrade Counter
You can use upgrade materials and Gold to level up J-Skills and Ability Skills.
Select a J-Skill or Ability Skill to display a list.
*You cannot upgrade a J-Skill or Ability Skill you have not yet acquired.
Upgrade details are shown on the right side of the screen when you select a skill from the list.
The items required for upgrading will be displayed. Press the button to perform the upgrade.
Emotion/Chat Controls

Hold down button: Display emotion ring
Left stick: Select emotion (while emotion ring is visible)
Release button: activate emotion (while selecting emotion)

Emotion
Communicate with other players by expressing your feelings or imitating a character’s motion.
Emotion Ring
Hold down the button to display the emotion ring.
Select your emotion with the left stick, then release the button to perform the emotion.
※If you press another button or move the avatar (by running or jumping), the emotion will be suspended.

※Depending on its type, an emotion may continue to loop until further button input.
Chat
Choose a recipient for a quick chat, or read through previous chat logs.

Chat window
Hold down the button to open the chat window.
Use the directional buttons or move the left stick up and down to select quick chat dialogue options, then use the button to send the quick chat.
Use the or
buttons to switch quick chat dialogue categories.
Use the right stick to scroll though chat window logs.
Use the button to close the chat window.
● Recipients
All: Display the chat log shared with all other players in the same server.
Private chat: Open a private chat window by pressing the button while your target cursor is over another avatar to select that player’s online ID as the chat recipient.
Chat Box
Press and release the button to open the chat box.
The chat box will display an approximation of your chat history.

※The camera cannot be operated while the chat window is open.
※By holding down the button, you can open a chat window even if the chat box is already on-screen.
※You cannot scroll through the chat box.
Menu
Press the OPTIONS button to display the menu screen. Select a menu option using the directional buttons or the left stick, then press the button to proceed.
Battle Customization
Configure abilities and skills.
■ Configure Abilities
Select the desired button configuration for your ability, then press the button to confirm.
Details of the ability will appear on the right side of the screen.
Use the or
buttons to select abilities according to their original manga world.
Change Ability Skills
Press the button to configure ability skills. Use the
or
buttons to switch categories, the directional buttons or the left stick to select the ability skill, and the
button to confirm.
Details of the ability skill will appear on the right side of the screen.
Change Element
Press the button to configure your element.
Use the directional buttons or the Left stick to select the element, and the button to confirm.
Details of the ability skill will appear on the right side of the screen.
Use the button to remove the element.
■ J-Skills
Select a J-Skill, then press the button to confirm. Details of the skill will appear on the right side of the screen.
Use the or
buttons to switch categories, the directional buttons or the Left stick to select the J-Skill, and the
button to confirm.
■ Support Skills
Select the supporting character, then press the button to confirm. The status of your supporting character will appear on the right side of the screen.
Select your skill, then press the button to confirm.
Once you select a skill, details will appear on the right side of the screen.
Use the button to Reset the support skill.
■ Register Team
Choose a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd character to register as your preset team.You can register up to 3 teams.
Registered teams can be summoned during battle character selection.
Select a character, and their status will appear on the right side of the screen.
Customize Avatar
Configure your avatar’s appearance.
Hairstyle: Change your hairstyle.
Feature 1/Feature 2: Add patterns and scars to your face. You can add up to 2 features in total.
Top: Change the top half of your outfit.
Bottom: Change the bottom half of your outfit.
Hands: Add gloves, wristbands, and other items.
Feet: Change your shoes and other items.
Special: Change your socks.
Accessory 1/Accessory 2: Add an accessory. You can add up to 2 accessories in total.
Item
Check and use items.
Use the or
buttons to switch categories, the directional buttons or the Left stick to select the item, and the
button to use. Once you select an item, details will appear on the right side of the screen.
Communication
Configure details about player interaction.
■ Battle Log
Check your battle record against other players.
Select a battle log and press the button to view your opponent’s profile.
■ Friends
Check your friend list.
Select a friend and press the button to view your friend’s profile.
■ Player Info
Check player information.
Press the button to configure your title.
Use the directional buttons or the Left stick to select the title and the button to confirm.
Your chosen title will appear on the right side of the screen.
■ Emotions
Configure Emotions.
Use the or
buttons to switch categories, the directional buttons or the Left stick to select the emotion, and the
button to confirm.
Use the Left stick to choose your emotion location and the button to confirm.
System Menu
Press the button in the menu screen to open the system menu.
Use the directional buttons or the Left stick to select the menu item and the button to proceed to the each of the settings.
Use the button to return to the main menu.
Misc. Settings
Move the directional buttons or the left stick vertically to select a setting, then horizontally to alter its value.
Use the button to reset to the default value.
Horizontal Camera Movement/Vertical Camera Movement: Change the camera movement. Select “Inverted”, and the camera will move in the opposite direction of the stick input.
Controller Vibration: Turn vibrations on DUALSHOCK®4 wireless controller ON/OFF.
Music/SE/Voice Volume: Adjust each volume setting. Set the volume to 0 to mute the sound entirely.
Online Confirmation: This setting shows the current mode. Disable it to remain in the current mode.
Screen Brightness
Adjust screen brightness. Move the directional buttons or the left stick horizontally to adjust the brightness, and the button to confirm.
Use the button to restore to default settings.
Use the button to return to the “System Menu” screen.
※If you do not press the button after adjusting brightness, the adjustments will not be saved.
Battle Replays
Check and delete battle replays. Move the directional buttons or the Left stick vertically to select the replay, and view it with the button. Select the replay you want to delete, and use the
button to delete it.
Use the button to return to the “System Menu” screen.
TIPS

Move the directional buttons or the left stick vertically to choose a tip. Details will appear on the right side of the screen.
Quit Game
Save gameplay data and quit the game. Press “Yes” to return to the title, and “No” to return to the “System Menu” screen.
