Your home is your own private living space within GGO. Using the monitor in the room, you can replay movies that you’ve viewed throughout the course of the storyline.
You can move items between your personal inventory and the item box, which can hold a maximum of 500 items. When selling items, you can sell both items within your inventory and ones stored inside the item box without needing to move items between them.
Talk to your ArFA-sys unit to access the ArFA-sys menu, which is unlocked during the main storyline. In the ArFA-sys menu, you’ll be able to access the following options: Banking, AI Settings, Emote Settings, and Change Outfit.
In the Banking option, you can select what percentage of in-game money that you earn is deposited into your ArFA-sys and invested, ranging from 0% to 50%. From there, you have three investment options at your disposal: minor (a +2% return), normal (a -5% to +5% return) and major (a -20% to +15% return). As noted in the return rates, the normal and major investment options are risky and can result in you losing money. Regardless, you can deposit and withdraw your money at any time.
Meanwhile, in the AI Settings option, you can change the sorts of actions that your ArFA-sys will prioritize during battle (refer to the table below for more information).
Next, in the Emote Settings option, you can change the personality pattern of your ArFA-sys unit between five different settings, which include Bright, Stoic, Cute, Zealous, and Serious.
Finally, from the Change Outfit option, you can change the outfits and accessories of your character and your ArFA-sys, as well as the coloring of each other’s weapons.

Customization Data: Customization Data enables you to save your current stat build, learned skills, weapon loadouts, and more so that you can quickly and easily change between play styles. Once saved, all you need to do is select that data for all of those settings to be instantly reflected in your character once again. Initially, you’ll be limited to two slots for Customization Data, but you can unlock up to three more for a total of five slots. Note that any weapons that are attached to a Customization Data slot can’t be sold, thrown away, enhanced, or transformed, and must first be removed from the data before doing so.
Skills: You and your ArFA-sys can both learn a variety of skills. To learn a given skill, you need to spend SP (Skill Points), as well as meet the base stat requirements for that skill. SP can be earned as Bounty Ranking rewards, as well as by trading medals for them at the Medal Trader.
Setting Skills: Once you or your ArFA-sys has learned a skill, you can equip it by setting it into a skill slot. Only skills that have been set in a skill slot can be used during combat.
Setting Gadgets: Like with skills, gadgets can be equipped to you and your ArFA-sys by setting them into a gadget slot. Only gadgets that have been set in a gadget slot can be used during combat.
Avatar Customization: You can change the appearance of both your character and ArFA-sys. Every setting aside from gender can be changed after initial character creation, with any changes automatically saved once they’re applied.
Once you get to know Kirito well enough, he’ll invite you to visit him, at which point you can meet him in his room. As the game progresses, you’ll eventually be able to enlist the help of him and his friends as you go out on quests.
For a price, Agil can inspect any unappraised items that you have. Any unappraised equipment cannot be equipped until he’s inspected it and revealed its identity. Additionally, you can also sell items to him.
Once you’ve acquired an outfit design, you can take it to Asuna and have her make new outfits for you as long as you have the necessary materials. Outfit designs can be earned in a variety of ways, including by completing quests.
Lisbeth’s Workshop is where you can go to have your weapons enhanced and transformed. As the storyline progresses, Lisbeth’s weapon enhancement/transformation level will increase, reducing the amount of materials she’ll need in order to enhance a weapon, as well as raising the maximum level to which she can enhance a Memory Chip.
You can enhance weapons provided you have the necessary materials. Enhancing a weapon increases its rank. Weapons can be enhanced a total of two times, with the rank signified with either a “+” or “++” next to its name.
Weapons can have “Memory Chips” attached to them that grant special effects assigned at random. Memory Chip effects can be enhanced or changed outright through weapon transformations.
Weapon transformation involves taking two weapons and synthesizing them together to make a new one. The weapon used as the source material is destroyed in the process and the base weapon inherits the Memory Chip effects from both weapons. If two weapons used in a transformation have the same Memory Chip, its effects can also be strengthened as part of the transformation process.
However, locked Memory Chips cannot be freely changed out of their respective slot without an Unlocking Chip. Once unlocked, Memory Chips can be freely placed in and out of a slot. Furthermore, only up to half of the total Memory Chip slots for any weapon can be unlocked using Unlocking Chips.
Squadrons are like small guilds that consist of like-minded players who share a specific purpose. When you visit each squadron, you can pursue unique quests that revolve around their particular traits as a group.
PvP squadrons specialize in tracking down other players who appear as bounties on the Reward Rankings. Their Hunting Quests therefore revolve around fighting such bounties.
PvE squadrons focus on fighting non-player enemies and offer Unique Enemy Quests that task you with hunting down strong Unique Enemies that appear out in the field. As previously mentioned, once you unlock access to a new area in GGO, the corresponding sub quests for that area will also be unlocked.
True to their name, treasure hunting squadrons dedicate themselves to finding treasure in GGO. Their Treasure Quests entail finding and retrieving treasure and lost objects. As previously mentioned, once you unlock access to a new area in GGO, new Treasure Quests will also be unlocked.
